This course sets forth the needed structure, expectations, and goals for an effective principal mentoring program. An exemplary principal mentorship program’s framework and standards are examined, along with associated research supports for them. Throughout the series, the alignment of the courses, the research and material presented, and Key Terms with the principal evaluation tool are key. The opportunity for, major types of, and appropriateness of feedback are presented here as an introduction to their meaningfulness to the new or learning school leader (and covered in-depth in a subsequent course in the series).
